It's simple, dude. Just tap play when you're ready. A totally cool tune will begin to play. Each tune will have a minimum of 3 notes, and a max of however much your brain can take. Once the tune stops, the timer will begin and you must repeat the tune back. There are 5 sublevels within each level, and there are an infinite number of levels so the game never gets boring! Notes get faster and harder... can you take the challenge?
Double tap anywhere on the screen... just not the buttons, the play link, or the repeat link. Duh.
Achievements are goals for you to accomplish. The more you play, the more achievements you get. We help you out by listing out the achievements so you can easily track them. There are three levels of achievements: airhead, ditz, and nerd-o-rama. You typically get the airhead achievements first and work your way up to being a nerd-o-rama.
This game is pretty gnarly cuz you can make as many mistakes as you want! Trust us, you'll know when you make a mistake - it'll make a lame loser sound and you'll know. Just don't let the time run out or you'll lose a life.
You get 3 lives so that means you have three opportunities to run out of time.
Yup. After a tune is played, Repeat will appear between the buttons and the equalizer. You can either play the tune back if you think you know it, or tap on Repeat to play the tune again. But keep in mind as soon as a tune finishes playing, the timer begins immediately - you'll be taking a risk when you hit Repeat.
Every time you finish playing a tune, we'll give you your score of either Rad, Okay, or Bogus. Rad is the best you can do - it means you played the tune super fast cuz you knew it to the max. Okay means... okay. And sorry dude, bogus means you took a long time to repeat the tune so it wasn't cool.
On the splash page, tap on Information. From there, make sure you're in the records tab. Under "my records" tap on Edit Name to either add or edit your name. Once your name is added, you'll show up under Global Records... granted you're in the top 25.
You need to be in the top 25 of the entire ZapTap community to make it to Global Records. You better play more and get better.
On the splash page, tap on Information. From there, go to the Audio tab. You'll see the options to turn off/on the background music and sound effects.
The sound equalizer was pretty 80s, so we thought we'd stick with it. It's tubular!
