How do I fly?

Tilt up/down or left/right to steer your plane. If you wanna make the plane a teensy wheensy bit more sensitive to your tilting, check out the Settings page in your logbook.

How do I pass a course? Is it hard?

It's simple. Just fly through the course without crashing. Make sure you pass each Blimp Judge cuz they gotta check if you're flying safely. Blimp Judges are nice - they'll also give ya an extra 45 second bonus time if you fly by them! If you ever see cones or hoops, make sure you fly through them too. You gotta know how to navigate and follow rules so if you don't go through them, the Blimp Judges will take 5 seconds off your time.

What if I don't pass? =(

You can fail the course by running out of time or crashing. Try not to crash - your plane engine will get all steamed up, and you may even get ejected from your plane. If you get ejected, you'll be hanging around for a while under your parachute 'til someone comes to get ya. (Don't be sad if you crash - I crashed dozens of times before learning how to fly!)

I passed a course. Can I refly it to improve my grade?

Of course! These aren't finals to stress over. You can refly any course to improve your grade. I told ya the Blimp Judges are nice!

How do I shoot a target?

See those yellow balloons with red targets in the center? I've bugged the Blimp Judges enough to get these in for some target practice. Just tap on the shoot button at the bottom right of your screen to shoot at the balloons. Make 'em go POP!

What do I get for shooting targets? Do I get a cookie or something?

If you shoot down 4 balloons you'll earn TURBO! As you shoot balloons, you'll ignite red bulbs one by one at the tail of your plane. Once you've got 4 bright red bulbs glowing at your rear, you're ready to use turbo!

How do I use turbo?

Once you see the 4 red bulbs glowing, jerk your device forwad QUICKLY. You'll hear the turbo ignite, and you'll see flames coming out of your plane. (I should warn you that you must use turbo at your own risk. Only use turbo if you think you got the hang of it... otherwise you might lose control and go BOOM!)

How do I show off my high score?

I've also bugged the Blimp Judges to make an Honor Roll list for aspiring pilot students like yourself. Just go to the Honor Roll page in your logbook and tap on the Submit Score link. (Make sure you enter your name on the cover of your logbook first. You gotta have a name if you're a student here!)

Wait - how come my name isn't on the Honor Roll list?

The Honor Roll list is a special place for our top students. Only the Top 100 students are in our Honor Roll list. If you wanna be on it, you gotta fly well, shoot lots of targets, use lots of turbo, and finish the courses FAST.

I need a bathroom break! Can I take a break while flying?

The Blimp Judges don't really think it's safe to take a break in the middle of flying... but SSHHHH I've got a secret for ya that the Blimp Judges don't know about. You can take a break in the middle of the game by simply double tapping anywhere on the screen. You can thank me later.

I got my Pilot License! I've completed training! Now what?

Congrats, kiddo. If you've made it this far it means you've completed training and received the Pilot Certificate. You should continue to practice flying (I bet your average grade wasn't an A!).

In the meantime, I'm working on something with the Blimp Judges... we gotta make use of our newly certified pilots. We might assign you to a Pilot Team so you can do missions. It's up to the Blimp Judges. I'll get back to ya soon. Keep checking back!
